Results:1) In the socio-demographic data, the delinquent adolescent group had the higher rates of ¡¯parents¡¯ death¡¯, ¡¯parents¡¯ divorce and separation¡¯, and ¡¯having a job in both parents and a mother only¡¯, and had the lower ¡¯parents¡¯ educational level¡¯ and ¡¯socioeconomic state¡¯ than the student group. 2) In the behavior problem scales, the delinquent adolescent group had the higher scores of ¡¯delinquent behavior¡¯, ¡¯aggressive behavior¡¯, ¡¯externalizing problems¡¯, and ¡¯total behavior problems¡¯ subscale and had the lower score of ¡¯social problems¡¯ subscale than the student group. The scores of ¡¯withdrawn¡¯, ¡¯somatic complaints¡¯, ¡¯anxious/depressed¡¯, ¡¯thought problems¡¯, ¡¯attention problems¡¯, and ¡¯internalizing problems¡¯ subscale had no differences between two groups. 3) In the social competence scale, the male delinquent group had the lower scores of ¡¯social¡¯, ¡¯academic performance¡¯, and ¡¯total social competence¡¯ subscale than the male student group. But the female delinquent group had only the lower score of ¡¯academic performance¡¯ subscale than the female student group. The female delinquent group had the higher scores of ¡¯social¡¯, ¡¯academic performance¡¯, and ¡¯total social competence¡¯ subscale than the male delinquent group.
Conclusion: The lower socioeconomic state and the diverse parents¡¯ factors were related to the juvenile delinquency that the adolescents who were released with warning by police committed. The delinquent adolescents in this study were similar to the ordinary students in the psychopathological aspects except higher aggression and impulsivity. Their academic performance were lower than the ordinary students. The female delinquents had higher social ability than the male delinquents.
